A 33-year-old Riverhead man was arrested on felony possession charges after police found him using a stolen debit card at a West Main Street ATM early Saturday, according to a report.
Police, investigating the area after an armed robbery was reported on Griffing Avenue, saw Miguel Luciano at the Chase Bank ATM about 3:15 a.m., according to a report. When Mr. Luciano was asked whose card he was using, he replied, “I found it on the ground,” police said.
After searching Mr. Luciano, police recovered eight debit/credit cards, a driver’s license and a navigation system that had been reported stolen from a vehicle in Riverhead on a prior date, police said.
Mr. Luciano was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of stolen property and was held for morning arraignment.
